Nuprashree Prakash

Counsellor

Monash University

I am Nupra (She/her), a final year counselling student at Monash University with an extensive background in Psychology. Having studied Psychology for the past 5 years, I've developed a strong interest in understanding people, their experiences, and what shapes our emotional wellbeing. Through my clinical internships and volunteering experiences, working alongside various challenges and populations has strengthened my interest in supporting people and has taught me that while everyone is unique in their own way, empathy is what brings us together and that everyone deserves to feel understood and accepted.

My areas of interest include grief and trauma, anxiety and depression, neurodivergence, emotional dysregulation, substance use, self-esteem, loneliness, and life transitions. I am particularly interested in supporting people through periods of change, loss, and uncertainty. My approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, ACT, Narrative therapy, REBT, SFBT and Motivational Interviewing. I believe therapy should be individualised rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, and I aim to create a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

I see clients at Integrative Psychology & Medicine, East Melbourne and offer online sessions.
