Training For Professionals

Integrative Psychology aims to deliver the highest quality professional development and training for both practicing clinicians and students, within Australia. Integrative Psychology seeks to offer continuing enhancement of professional skills and knowledge across a wide array of domains within contemporary psychology including:

The foundation and depth of Integrative Psychology’s professional development programme is derived through the utilisation of best practice research and thinking in the field, and is presented within the context of a humanistic approach to practice.

Public psycho-education courses for the General Public

Integrative Psychology provides a broad selection of publicly available psycho-education workshops, seminars and short courses. Integrative Psychology’s education curriculum is focused on bringing the most useful and interesting research and theory to the broader public in order to optimise health and well-being.

Supervision

Supervision is one of the most important factors in the development of therapeutic skills and competency. Integrative Psychology has a strong team of fully qualified psychologists who are registered to provide professional supervision. Our supervision staff are committed to supervising within a collaborative integrative supervision framework and approach. We place a key focus upon bio-psycho-social evaluation and assessment, integrative and trans-theoretical conceptualisation, and collaborative treatment through a humanistic, relational focused approach.

Integrative Psychology also provides support for group and pod peer-to-peer supervision as well as collaborative case conferencing on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Research

Integrative Psychology, East Melbourne strives to develop a truly integrative model of treatment and practice. An important component of our practice model is treatment research and development, informed by the scientist- practitioner model. This model of research is geared towards quantitative and qualitative research into the development and improvement of high quality health care and treatment as well as the development of assessment and intervention tools.
